Tours run most Sundays, between March and November.

Cancellation by Upper Heyford Heritage Centre

In the unlikely event that Upper Heyford Heritage Centre is required to cancel a tour, affected visitors will be offered either:

Please note: Refunds can only be issued where cancelled places are successfully resold. This policy helps support the ongoing preservation and operation of the Heritage Centre and ensures that limited tour spaces are fully utilised.

Group Tours, School Visits & Veterans' Events

In addition to our regular Sunday tours, Upper Heyford Heritage Centre can offer private group visits for schools, colleges, veterans’ organisations and special interest groups.

Alternative tour dates may be available throughout the week, including selected Wednesdays and Saturdays.

When and where do Airbase Tours start and finish ?
Airbase Tours start and end at the RAF Upper Heyford Heritage Centre. Admin sign-in is from 9:30 am. The Tours start by 10:00 am. Tours are 3+ hours long but often overrun.
Can I bring food & drink with me ?
Please do. Food & drinks are available from The Heyford Hotel and Sainsbury's onsite. Bottled water is available to purchase on the tour 'bus.
Can I cancel or change my Airbase Tour booking ?
Places will be offered for resale. If successful you will be offered alternative tour dates or a full refund.
Are Airbase Tours suitable for children ?
There is no lower or upper age limit but the tours are 3+ hours long and involve a lot of standing and listening to guides.
What should I wear?
Comfortable footwear and weather-appropriate clothing; parts of the tour are outdoors.
